Is Trash Always Trash?

“Is Trash Always Trash?” by Dr. Vanisa Turney for ages 3-5 and grades K-3! This unit is on the 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle and effective ways in which we can eliminate growing landfills!

This 31 page course, with video instruction, engages students in the understanding that the Earth is a living body with interconnected patterns of relationships. Students will develop an understanding that when we make healthy choices such as reusing materials we help the environment. There is a direct relationship between reusing and the benefits of the world in which we live. Reusing materials reduces the amount of waste in landfills, prevents pollution, and saves energy. When we reuse we create an environment that is good for us.
