“Moving with the Wind & Words Read, Write & Dance Poetry” by Kathleen Marleneanu; Dance Teaching Artist, M.Ed. Learning Systems Technology; for ages K-2nd; 3rd-5th. This unit will allow children to learn to create their own poem and dance by playing with creative movement.

This 33-page course (with video instruction, interactive presentations, and support materials) children will learn about the wind and explore its wonder by reading and writing poetry, asking questions, and dancing! This unit will help children increase their environmental awareness and value of planet Earth. Through practicing mindful breath and movement, they will gain better control of their emotions and learn to stay calm, even when feeling tossed in the wind.
